Together [All in One Place] | Five Minute Friday

It’s Friday — time to write with absolute abandon.
Why? Because it’s Five Minute Friday at Lisa-Jo’s and
that’s what hundreds of us do on Friday.

So time to start the ticker and write for
a full five minutes full-out without editing or correcting
on just one word —

Together, as a couple. Together, as a family. Together, as friends. Together, as siblings. Together, as brothers and sisters in Christ. So many ways to be together as the people of God.

And yet there are those divisive ways bringing some together — together to commit crimes against others, together to bully another, together to engage in illegal sale of drugs, together in a gang. So many ways to be together against Godly living.

How is it that together can be either a good thing or a bad thing?

Is it because we who are together in a good way, in His way, have forgotten what we are to do? Forgotten what He has called us to be?

Or is it because those who are together committing evil acts have realized we don’t care and aren’t paying attention?

Together should be the warmth and commitment of the ducklings huddling to stay warm in the image above. Together should show safety and protection. Together is all those things when together rests under His wings. And we come together to serve His church and His people.

From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting
ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
Ephesians 4:16 (NIV)

Lots of folks come TOGETHER to do this every Friday.

    • Stephanie, thanks for coming by today. So glad you enjoyed my cute huddle of ducklings. The moment I saw them they spoke to me of “together.” Heading over to see what is all about!
